Council of Yukon First Nations Welcome Newly Elected Liberal Government

The Council of Yukon First Nations are pleased to welcome Larry Bagnell as Yukon’s newly elected Member of Parliament.

“CYFN offers congratulations to Larry Bagnell and the Liberal party for their resounding win in the Federal election Monday night,” said Grand Chief Ruth Massie, “CYFN looks forward to working government-to-government with Prime Minster, Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada in the near future.”

Mr. Larry Bagnell has shown his commitment to Yukon First Nations early in his term by attending his first meeting as Liberal MP with Grand Chief Ruth Massie on October 20th. Mr. Bagnell reiterated his commitment to working with Yukon First Nations on important issues going forward.

CYFN and all Yukon First Nations anticipate that the Liberal government will follow through with their election platform promises and we look forward to building a strong relationship with them.
