Community Language Coordinator

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of the YNLC, the Community Language Coordinator supports Yukon First Nation communities to: implement their language revitalization initiatives through strategic language planning; develop and implement language proficiency programs that directly create fluent speakers; build capacity to strengthen language departments; develop and implement other initiatives in the community to preserve, protect and maintain languages and to assist with access to language information, various experts, tools and resources.

Screening Criteria: Post-secondary diploma in language revitalization, First Nation studies, adult education, or equivalency obtained through course work and/or work experience.

Salary:                   Level 8: $62,485.84 – $78,107.95

Energy and Sustainability Analyst

Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Analyst – Natural Resources and Environment, the Energy and Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for supporting Yukon First Nations in determining their renewable energy and energy efficiency aspirations, from planning to implementation to follow-up. The position works to address climate change from a holistic perspective and ensure alignment with First Nations values. The position will help communities work towards reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and becoming more sustainable and self-reliant.

Screening Criteria: A post-secondary degree in science, economics, renewable energy, natural resources or sustainability or equivalency obtained through course work and/or work experience.

Salary:                   Level 9: $71,147.28 – $88,935.44

Category:            Term, full-time (2020 – 2023)
