Job Summary: Reporting to the Language Resource Coordinator at YNLC (Yukon Native Language Centre), the Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the Robert Munsch storybook translation project with Yukon First Nations. The position will coordinate the hiring of speakers, linguists, recorders and transcriber trainees with the Yukon First Nation. The Project Coordinator will also coordinate the training sessions, team meetings, team celebrations as well as the archiving of new resources, dissemination and sharing and will produce project reports as needed. The position will provide direct and indirect support to four community language teams.

Screening Criteria: Post-secondary education in project management or relevant field or equivalency obtained through coursework and/or experience.

Salary:                   $35/hour

Category:            Term, part-time (25 hrs/week until February 28, 2022)
